Kickstart Speakeasy
Curci is planning on releasing his second CD titled Speakeasy in the near future, but needs your help to start it off. He has a goal to raise only $1,000 by February 22nd, so help him out! Go to http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/649813891/curci-speakeasy-cd-launch to help fund it.
Help me fund my 2nd CD called "Speakeasy." This is not the average radio promoted hip-hop. "I'm 17 with a dream and no money" - Curci

I love making music, and it is all that I focus on. I give my
music away for free because I want everyone to have the chance to
listen. With this CD "Speakeasy," I plan on making lots of hard
copies to pass out, promote it on the Internet, have a big CD release
party, as well as go on a Speakeasy tour to spread the word! It will be almost impossible to do what I wish for "Speakeasy"
without your help. The way that kickstarter works is that if I don't
reach my goal of $1,000 I will never get any of the funding, and nobody
will be charged. But if I reach my goal by Feb 22, then I can release my
music to the world! So help me make my dream a reality by funding "Speakeasy."
Thank you!!!

Colorad Music Buzz Article
Colorado Music Buzz wrote about Curci in this months edition of the magazine, check it out.

by Tim Wenger
We first reported on Fort Collins rapper Curci back in July in a review of his album Curci in Wonderland. Since then, the teenage artist has been quite busy, spending some time down in Miami for the Coast 2 Coast Convention and making a video for his song “Nirvana.”
“It was a three-day event, and I performed in front of some judges,” Curci said. “It was like a yacht party, with a modeling competition on the yacht.” While he was down at the convention he made some connections, and has begun work with a Philadelphia rapper named Tone Trump.
Curci is trying to take his talent and mesh it with people from all fields of the hip-hop world. “I’m putting together a coalition of artists, kind of like my own record label, called “Conscious Minds for Righteous Revolution,” he said. The group is currently made up of a artists, film makers, and DJs, including Curci, Jizockk, Curci’s DJ, DJ Tico, a producer named Otsuka, and fellow FoCo rapper Casual. “To me, when I hear radio songs, it’s basically all about money and girls, and I feel like the people and artists in Conscious Minds are very different and stay away from that.”
Curci has also recently released a video for a new song “Broke as Shit,” filmed while he was in Miami, which will be on his upcoming album Speakeasy.

DJ Spyda Da Don Interview
I met an awesome DJ while I was in Miami by the name of DJ Spyda Da Don. We are working together, and I am going to be featured on his up and coming mixtape called "The Re UP 4" It's gonna be super DOPE! This is the interview that DJ Spyda Da Don has put up on his website, I'm happy about it for sure.
Curci is a young Hip-Hop artist that was born in February, 1995 in Colorado. He started writing lyrics when he was 8 years old and became serious with rapping as a career when he was 14. He has released two local mixtapes with different groups and now, he has a solo career. On 5/18/2012 he released his first solo mixtape “Curci In Wonderland.” He loves performing, and creating new songs. He spends his time not only writing lyrics but he also loves to skateboard and be fashion-forward with his shoes and personal style.
Q: To people who haven’t heard of Curci what would you like for them to know about you and your work?
A: First of all, I love music more than anything! But besides that, I am a 17 year old rapper from Fort Collins, CO. I just started my senior year of high school. And I am probably the most ambitious person that you will ever meet.
Q:How long have you been in Music?
A: Well, I have always loved music, and when I was young I always remembered the words to my favorite songs. Eventually, I just thought that I could write my own songs when I was around 8 years old. Since then I wrote a lot, and released a couple local projects. I believe I was around 14 when I realized that all I wanted to do was to make music. Since then I’ve been on my grind.
Q:How did you get your start in the game and where do you see yourself in 5 years?
A: When I started actually recording my music instead of just writing, it was through one of my classes in middle school. The class taught me a lot, and basically started me off to where I am at now. In 5 years, I see myself as being an established artist that isn’t going anywhere, that has a XXL freshmen of the year title, a few number one video’s, and a number one album under my belt. I would also like to have built a pretty good "empire" of all different kinds of people to make them successful too.
Q:Who do you compare yourself to?
A: I compare myself to Nas, Asher Roth, J.Cole, Kanye West, Joey Bada$$, and Wale. Although everyone compares me to Mac Miller, I guess I can understand the comparison.
Q:As a (producer/artist) what is your opinion on the game?
A: I believe that there is not enough real, and a lot of people portrait to be someone or something that they are not, which makes it seem not cool to be yourself. The media only seems to pay attention to songs that have basically already been done before, and they seem to not want any diversity between the artists.
Q: Who have you worked with and what was your favorite and/or worst experience?
A: When I worked with Chuuwee for the song Monster for my mixtape, I thought it was super cool because I really enjoy his music. I was excited that I was actually talking to him, and he liked the song enough to do it. But in the end when the song was finished, for some reason, maybe he was to busy or didn’t like the song although he said he did. The song didn’t get the support that it should have. We haven’t talked since we made the song, but I would like to again.
For all artist’s that I work with, I really like to become friends more than just business partners, even though the business is very important. How do you think Jay and Ye are so successful?
Q: Any current projects on the way?
A: Yes, I am actually working on my second mixtape right now, along with helping other people with their projects. My next mixtape will be titled “Speakeasy,”and will be released later this year.
Q: Any advice for new upstarts in the production game and artists advice too?
A: I’m not sure of this advice, because I haven’t completely made it yet, but this is what I believe. If you truly believe in what you do, then you will figure out a way to make it happen. Also Just BE YOURSELF! That is extremely important.

What's A Jizockk?
I met a man by the name of Jizockk this weekend in Miami, and he is an extremely diverse person. What is a Jizockk you ask, the real question is what isn't a Jizockk. Jizockk is a human, a writer, a producer, a photographer, a videographer, a blogger, an ARTIST!
When I first met Jizockk, he was taking lots of photo's for Coast 2 Coast at the Coast 2 Coast hip-hop convention. As I started talking to him more and more through out the convention I found out that he is a very talented hip-hop artist! He recently released a project with some of his peers that they titled "The Weapons" check it out.
This song called Fresh Kaufee (Not The Beverage It's The Brand) I like it a lot!
Jizockk mixes everything together on his website, with his column writing that he does for Coast 2 Coast magazine, his music, his great interviews, and his taste in fashion. He places all of his work, and knowledge on to his website http://jizockk.com/ if you know whats up, then you will be looking on this site.
Also, Jizockk will be a new writer on the blog, so definitely support him! Be looking out for lots of work with him in the future too! Follow him on twitter @Jizockk and on Facebook http://www.facebook.com/whatsajizockk

Nike is supposed to be releasing the zoom rookie galaxy's in September! I'm super excited for these!
The Sole glows in the dark too! These are supposed to be a major release for 2012, and will most likely sell out the day that they come out. I'm guessing the release date will be similar to the yeezy 2 release with lots of chaos.
